whoever said it was a racist war? That issue only comes up when there's a draft, and the last draft was during Vietnam, when casualties were definitely skewed towards minorities. Now, the argument will be that this is a class-based war, since in peacetime only the working/middle class will voluntarily seek the military way of life, at least as far as the enlisted ranks. Those are the types who join our 'part-time army', which is no longer the refuge of the well-to do.
