Schadenfreude time

The riots in the Paris region and beyond. So much for self-righteous criticism of the US. Me, I think it's not so much a Muslim thing as a problem with the French economy and the difficulty young people have in finding jobs that 1) keep them occupied, and 2) help them earn money to buy consumer goodies. (Many analysts see the violence as a response to high unemployment and lack of services.) I believe capitalist consumerism is another opiate of the people, and keeps them in line. It's a good thing!
